My 1920 10801 display wont fit on the screen

I went to change resolution under display in the nvidia control panal and set it to 1080p, 1920 1080 (naitive) but it still stretches the picture cutting off the edges of the screen so i cant see the task bar and such any suggestions? its a 24 inch samsung hdtv/monitor

Idk about nVidia control panel, but there should be a 'scaling' option somewhere, that does it for my AMD cards... Never had to do it for nvidias though
