Hi im building a new desktop and im having a dilemma WHICH CPU DO CHOOSE???

here is the build:

now the question is do i go with the fx 6200 @ $169.99 or the AMD Phenom II X4 980 Black @ $134.99?

this is a no brainer, simply because its more powerful AND cheaper

Meh. If you have the budget to go to $170, pick up an i5 of some sort. You'll see performance increases over the 980, and it's not much more expensive (for the 2400) than the FX 6200. You'll need to switch your motherboard too, but there's good offerings at the same price on the intel side.

If you are going to stay with AMD the Phenom II X4 980 BE is the better processor.

Im going to stay AMD so intel is out of the question
