Hi folks - Would appreciate your thoughts on the following built which I intend on purchasing soon. I will be using this primarily for gaming. Would like to play BF3, MW3, Diablo 3 on-line at 1980 x 1080 resolution on medium to high settings averaging 40-50 FPS if possible.

Specs:

4.5GHz Core i5 2500K, 8GB, GeForce GTX 560 Ti

Cooler Master Elite 430 Case
Intel Core i5 2500K Processor Overclocked to up to 4.5GHz
Akasa Nero 3 Ultra Quiet CPU Cooler
Asus P8Z68-V LE Motherboard
8GB Corsair PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3 Memory (2 x 4GB sticks)
Asus GeForce GTX 560Ti 1024MB Graphics Card
1000GB 7200RPM Hard Disk
Sony 24x DVD-RW Drive
Corsair Ultra Low Noise 600W PSU
Onboard High Definition Audio
No Operating System

Cost = £730 or roughly $1200.

Will that be able to fulfill my gaming demands? Also how would the rig fare to upgrades in the future (say 2 years down the line), in particular a more powerful GPU (???GTX 860Ti)

Thanks.

When do you plan on buying this?

This would meet your demands. The motherboard will only support one GPU so if you want to crossfire later then maybe upgrade to

not sure on that cpu cooler but I know people overclocking a i5 to 4.8 or 5 GHz with this one:

If you want to crossfire later you would also need more of a 750 ish watt power supply.

last the Ivy Bridge CPU from intel is coming out. can you wait for that? It may give better performance the the i5 when overclocked. Time will tell.
