[Solved] Graphic chip or Graphic Card Mfr driver?

Forum Graphics & Displays : AMD Radeon [Solved] Graphic chip or Graphic Card Mfr driver?

Recently built a new i7 gaming computer with an MSI R6850 graphics card. Should I use the AMD drivers, or the Msi drivers? If the Msi drivers, do I have to uninstall the AMD driver first before loading in the Msi set?

Always use the latest drivers from the AMD or Nvidia website over the drivers from the reseller.

So the card manufacturer adds no software to control their mem, run their fans, whatever?

No. Although some manufactures such as EVGA and MSI have their own overclocking utilities. That is seperate from the graphics drivers though.
