I ordered a couple of these yesterday to go either side of my Thermaltake Frio cooler, for looks more than anything because i'm a big tart.

Hey

Has anyone used these and seen any benefits in noise/cooling?

Either way, will look cool lit up with cathodes i'm hoping!

They are meant to direct airflow, Xbox 360s use them.
About that shroud in your link, looks like a fan with out the fan motor and blades.

Yeah I thought the same, like a very bad fan lol

Interesting about the Xbox using them, must be worthwhile then if MS would add that cost to the design right?

I'll post a pic up when I fit them and report on benefits, if any. May be useful for someone searching in the future.

I never knew you could get these, I used to make the spacers out of balsa wood for noise dampaning and the soft wood would make a good seal aswell once tightened up, but these acrylic ones are straight forward to use and look pretty cool.
