HDMI In Motherboard or GPU?

Wait I don't know what you are asking. You have an HDMI slot on your Mobo and GPU? Use the one on the GPU then since the Mobo one is run by the onboard graphics which you wouldn't be using if you have a discrete GPU.

Oh yeah duh lol.
But what about sound...
which sound is better:
The mob's (SupremeFX X-Fi 2)
or
The XFX HD 6870

And also, is there a way to get sound from both cards?

If using the 6870 for HDMI, it has built in sound over HDMI. The dedicated sound card would be higher quality I suppose. I always use my built in mobo sound, it works fine for me, but I don't hook my PC up to my home theater system, I just use my PS3 as my Blu Ray player since it has Optical sound out. So I'm not sure about using both.
