Hi everyone. I just got done doing my first build with an I5 2500k. I plan on overclocking so I bought a Hyper 212. The problem is it doesn’t come with thermal paste pre-applied like the stock Intel heatsink. So what I was wondering is how is the best way to apply thermal paste and how much?

The Hyper 212 is a great air cooler and you should be able to overclock the I5 2500k to 4.5 GHz pretty easily without messing with voltages. As for applying the thermal paste you only need a small dot about 5-5.5 mm’s (or about the size of a pea. You can apply to much thermal paste which will cause your temperatures to be worse. The main thing to remember when applying thermal paste is LESS IS MORE
