What's Faster?

So there's two laptops that I can get. I want to know what's faster. The 1st computer has an AMD A6-3400M Quad Core 1.6GHz processor, and can go to 2.3GHz. The other computer has an AMD A6-4400M Dual Core 2.6GHz. I want to know, which computer is faster, in terms of playing games, and overall use. People say that the first computer has a low speed, but the Quad Core makes up for it. I'm not sure and it's an amateur question, but I am quite a noob. Thanks in advance!
