Hello guys ,

Recently , I have ordered a 5570 HD ( Sapphire ) . I would like to know whether this graphics can run games like GTA IV , crysis 2 , Assassin's creed revelations on atleast medium settings on my PC with a monitor resolution of 1280 x 720 .

MY Other PC specs includes :_

1) MOBO :- Asus p5gc-mx/1333

I am worried that my motherboard will be able to give full performance for the 5570 HD because it has Pcie slot of versin 1.0 . But the 5570 HD recommends a pcie slot of version 2.1 .

2) Processor :- Intel core 2 duo E7500 @ 2.93 Ghz .

Well , Please inform me whether this processor can handle the 5570 HD .

3) RAM

3 gb ddr2 667

As my motherboard supports only 4 giggs of ddr2 ram and I only have 3 gb , please tell me whether it can handle the 5570 HD for playing the games mentioned above .

4) Monitor :- 1280x720
Please tell me whether I can play the games mentioned above with 5570 HD on my pC .

Your entire system is too low to play high end games mentioned above even at that low resolution.

Why did you say that ?

Please tell me what I lack , I know that my mobo is old . But I have seen other's playing GTA IV and crysis 2 in PC's that are not even close to my system specs

DDR speeds now reach up to 2400 mhz. PCIE-1 is much slower than PCIE-2. Your GPU is extremely low with 400 shader stream processors. A high end GPU can have more than 3200 shader processors. A quad core CPU is recommended for gaming. Nowadays there are CPU's with 12 logical cores.

I am not a game addict . But I just like to play them . I know that one could make a PC of 16 GB RAM , ATI RADEON 7970 HD , 45 inch screen , Processor 12 cores @ 5 GHZ etc .

Yeah , it's possible , but I am regular gamer . I don't want high end PC's with which I can run all the games on high settings , I just asked whether I could play them on my PC .

And core 2 duo E7500 @ 2.93 Ghz is not that bad for gaming .

2 cores are enough to play the current released games .

If you have any doubt , check on youtube and see for yourself that how many gamers are there who are playing high-end games with ddr2 rams and core 2 duo processors ( even pentium 4 ) with low-profile graphics card .

Everyone would not be having a high-end PC . Please do understand that all games released for PC are not for people with high-tech PC's . IF it is so , the game industry would have never existed now .

Think wisely !

If it can handle farcry 2 at 1080p on medium settings, http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-5570,2552...
then I think that it should be fine for the above system/monitor. Yes, I know that the test system uses an i7 920 @ 3.06ghz but the new resolution should make up for the cpu difference. You could also overclock your cpu if necessary.
Side-note I'm pretty sure that most cards will not bottle neck a pci-e gen 1x16

Oh come on, Dual Core still works for like 99% of games. Of course you won't be able to get Ultra High 1080p eyecandy with 8x MSAA, but it works.

save up your money and grab a 6670 512 DDR5, trust me its worth it to hold off for a bit or if its cheaper a 5670 512mb they have almost the same performance (under 10% of each other)

For some reason the 6670 gddr5s are rather expensive ~$100, ~$8 more gets you a 6770. (Going by newegg prices and I think the 5670 gddr5s were phased out)
Also he already ordered the 5570.

it will be able to play all games on med-high settings without antianalizing and dont worry about old motherboard pcie express x16 hd 5570 will work perfectly and the cpu is good no need to upgrade because most of the games need 2 cores only.:)

in most of the games the the recommendation is of 2cores processer i3 is of 2cores and it performs better then amd athlon, phenom 4 cores processer in many games.

Thanks for your reply , But I live at India . Here , the price difference between 5570 HD and 5670 HD is high . And also 6670 also costs a lot in our market . Since any of the graphics cards are not manufactured in India , they are completely imported and thus costs a lot of money . I can't buy from US ( like newegg , Ebay.com ) because in India , import of electronics goods of price Rs.2000 and above ( $ 40 approx ) is illegal unless the person have a import licence .

Therefore , I was forced to buy 5570 HD . I know that 5670Hd and 6670 HD are the better cards , but I can't make it up to it .

All the graphics card are much more expensive in India than the USA .

Your processor is a nice match for that entry-level gaming card. You should be able to play those games at low - medium settings just fine.

As I said , I already ordered the graphics card . I bought it online and I had to buy it using paypal . So , I check ebay , there was only one seller who gave the 5570 HD for Rs.3900 . So I bought it .

I know that there could be better cards . My budget was $93 .

Anyway , I am still interested in knowing whether there are any better cards . Please share it with me .

another time when you are going to buy gpu first check on the hardware then online because in hardware shop they sell gpus at a high price and in hardware shop they sell in cheaper price because most of the indians are getting cards from them thats why.
