  1. Mobo is a bit pricey, and RAM doesn't have to be that fast (DDR3-1600 is fine). I'm sure an Extreme4 would suit you. Also, if you don't want to wait for April 29th (IB), it's fine.

Might want to think about a GTX 680, though.
(psst... your link doesn't work... it's not public ;) ).
  2. april 29th IB? sorry i made the list public but newegg isnt posting it... :(

But yea I'd prefer the 680 so maybe Ill hold off.
  3. The 680 is available now, it's just that IB isn't until April 29th. I'd recommend it... won't hurt...

Just put the final price of your build, and preferably prices for each component for better help.

    This PSU is much better:

    have had problems w/Rosewill

    Also get this HD

the same as the one above but 50% larger for a bit more cash, a good investment.
  5. nice Thor, ill def be exchanging those 2 components.
  6. I agree with Thor on is changes. I would suggest waiting for IB as the new i5 will be about 225 and draw less power and have better performance and hopefully better overclocking. I would also get the 680 over the 7970.

MSI does have their Twin Frozer II already

great cooling system on that one.

I like the extreme 7 but I agree you would be fine with the extreme 4 as it still provides SLI upgrade later.

    here is the 4 :
  7. Hmmmm.... do you think even a Pro3 Z77 would work for him?
