Amd fx 8150 3 way crossfire

Hello,
I am building a new gaming rig and was wondering if the amd fx 8150 could support 3 radeon 7970 gpu in crossfire

    if pushing out the highest fps is at utmost importance, you might want to look into the Piledriver FX chips in octoberish. if that is an option
  3. Yeah I'd wait for piledriver to come out. The high end chipsets, like the 990fx will easily do triple crossfire. 990fx may only use PCI-E 2 lanes but there is no difference between a 7970 using pcie 3 and one using pcie2. Even PCIe 1 only bottlenecks the really high end cards.

    Thanks, I looked into the Piledriver FX chips. They look very promising and I think I'm going to wait a few months to get one.
