I'm not sure HP is writing new driver files. They've switched to a "HP Universal Driver" which you can download directly from HP. Problem is, it doesn't work reliably on Windows 7, at least not in our networked environment. HP is going to lose a LOT of business over this mess.
HP has forgotten that they are a printer company first, and this is going to hemorrhage customers badly.
