Phantom 410 sound problem

When I plug headphone into phantom 410 front panel, even at max volume control the sound is still very low(same with mic). If I plug it into my p8z77-v pro back panel I hear things normally, loud and crisp. I have installed all the latest drivers and messed with the playback settings and no difference. Is the phantom 410 just built low quality like this or what?

i do not own a phantom case,but from my previous experience with cases,i have found the headphone and mic jack at the front to be unreliable,so i always use the motherboard or a sound card for my audio
