You should have a nice system. With the 3rd generation Intel® Core™ processors you want to use the B75, H77 or the Z77 chipsets to avoid some headaches.

If you have an older "6" most of them will allow you to update the bios and run the 3rd generation Intel Core processors but you really need to have the updated Bios before you try to use the 3rd generation Intel Core processors.
