Case theme is blue but have a bright red PCB powercolor GPU
A friend said that I could spray paint it but I'm worrying that the paint would mess up the electronics or not be able to stand the temperatures and melt or something.
So can it be done or am I better off not worrying about a pointless colour?

Hi :)

If you do paint that shroud, you had better make damn sure you use high temp paint....if it drips off at temperature, you can wave goodbye to your motherboard and probably a lot of other parts...

BAD IDEA generally...

All the best Brett :)

1. Get a piece of parchment paper or something that won't burn.
2. Spray paint it.
3. Stick it in the oven at the highest temp your GPU will reach.
4. See what happens.
Once you're sure the paint won't drip, try it with the shroud.

Do not under any circumstances paint the PCB. You could paint the shroud if you were extremely careful but that's it.

If your case theme means that much to you then you should have bought something that matched it in the first place

thought that, the shroud's black so that doesn't matter, I was only seeing if it would be an easy 5 minute job so i'm not bothered now
