My monitor says it can go to 1920x1200 but the maximum the windows 7 is giving me is 1600x1200

its also not picking up the monitor as a name but just a generic plug and play the monitor is unfortunately at 26' sonyo and the 1600x1200 makes it looked kinda squished

any way to fix this problem

Register or log in to remove.

Install Drivers for the TV from the SONYO site or search Google.

Also you should be able to change it in your GPUs' settings itself there may be a "Force TV detection" somewhere look around. Also from the GPU control panel you would be able to Force 1920x1200 Resolution or 1080p.
