In which case as abekl says the X6's are a waste get a 965BE and overclock it. If your not gaming but rendering/other tasks that use CPU cores efficienty then yes the X6 is a performance hike over the x4 http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/102?vs=203 The above link shows an X4 and an X6 as you see if your doing anything video or image related the X6 is worth the extra.
