Phenom II X4 960, 965, 970, or 980

Anyone of them that you can find would be about as great as you can get on that MB.

Cheers for reply, Looking at the compatibility list on the Mobo website, I can run X6 1100B, would it be any better then running previous models you have stated?

I specifically stayed away from the X6 chips because they do not bring any better performance and are more expensive. The best bang for the buck lies in the high end X4's.

Is it for gaming? In which case as abekl says the X6's are a waste get a 965BE and overclock it.

If your not gaming but rendering/other tasks that use CPU cores efficienty then yes the X6 is a performance hike over the x4

The above link shows an X4 and an X6 as you see if your doing anything video or image related the X6 is worth the extra. If your just gaming the X6 does show better performance in the benchmarks but not enough to justify its extra price tag.

I've looked and can't even find the Phenom IIX6 1100T anywhere.
