Hello,
Will this combo wwork? Coz i heard DH55TC only handles previous generation, and i dont know what generation 2600k belongs.
Also can anyone suggest a lower price but good performance Intel processors?

No it will not. That board is a H55 board and is LGA 1156 (First gen Core CPU's) and the 2600K is LGA 1155 (a Second gen Core CPU).

You need a 6 or 7 series board for the 2600K (like a P67, Z68, or Z77, for example).

A Sandy Bridge Pentium G or Sandy Bridge i3 is a great low cost option (although still LGA 1155 and not compatible with the board you mentioned).

So what i7 procs are compatible with my board?
More like, i want to do 3d rendering, i am a 3d modelere and artist so i am going to use a lot of high quality 3d rendering. Can i5 handle that? or i have to opt for i7?

An i7 is best for that and an i7 870 would be the best you can do with that board (within reason).

Here's the support list though. http://processormatch.intel.com/CompDB/SearchResult.aspx?Boardname=dh55tc
