For the 4600 series AGP cards you often have to use a special hotfix driver to get them to work, as they aren't really AGP cards, they're PCI-E cards with a bridge chip that converts the signal to AGP. This can generate problems with hardware detection. Go to the page here to get the appropriate drivers and hotfixes.
