Hello :D  I'm a console gamer and I have seen the error of my ways. I want to experience the ultimate gaming experience... PC GAMING!

I already have my mind set on which components to purchase, but I would like to have some feedback on the rig I am planning to build. So, here are the specs!

Haf 912 case- max 120mm fans for the case

I7 2700k (might wait for I7 3700k)

ASRock Fatal1ty z68 professional gen3 Intel atx mainboard

Win 7 professional

120gb intel 320 series ssd

2TB HDD

8gb ddr3 ram

CM hyper 212 evo CPU cooler (could this handle a 4.0 - 4.5 overclock at decent temps?)

850 corsair psu

And an EVGA superclocked gtx 680

Plus a 32" lcd monitor 1920x1080

All of this will run me about 2k.

I think it's pretty kickass but I would like to see others' opinions. Thanks! :D

I think you are pretty much headed in the right direction. that being said, i don't think you need W7 Pro (unless there's a special reason). I think you should get 2 1TB drives instead of 1 2tb drive (you'll certainly have the sata ports). I changed the mobo a tiny bit and listed a 2600k instead of a 2700k . Also bump the HSF up to a Noctua. If you want to cut cost, keep the 212 evo and get the 2500k instead.
