Hello,

I switched the red button behind psu 115=230w (like an idiot) and i turned on the computer then there was this high pitched sound, and some smoke came out psu. Right away I turned off the Power socket. switched back to 230w went to turn on computer, but it wouldn't start, no light ,no fan, no nothing. after doing some research found that i fried my psu.don't know how but yea. I'm juust worried that none of my computer parts are damage. BTW my psu as Triple protection circuitry of OVP, OPP & SCP protect PSU and system from damage AKAN is this thing :)http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817194038

Usually when PSUs blow up, they take other components with them, you could test the motherboard with another power supply if you have a spare...

I wouldn't recommend powering that power supply, if you are creative, you could RMA it and get a replacement.
