This build look good so far?

Last response: in Systems

This will be the first computer that I have built and just looking for some feedback on what I have so far and suggestions for what I dont have yet.

What I already have:

CPU
Core i5 2500K LGA 1155 Boxed Processor

Video Card
Radeon HD 6850

RAM
CORSAIR XMS 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMX8GX3M2A1600C9

Motherboard
GA-Z68AP-D3 LGA 1155 Z68 ATX Intel Motherboard

What I need to get:

Hard Drive
500GB would be fine for this, I have a 1TB external hard drive, just not sure if seagate or western digital is better.

Power Supply
Thinking at least 600W, I read that Corsair is good but are other brands fine as well? Rosewill seemed to have a good deal on Newegg today.
Rosewill Green Series RG630-S12 630W Continuous @40°C,80 PLUS Certified, Single 12V Rail, Active PFC "Compatible with Core i7,i5" Power Supply
Was $90 Now is $60.

Case
Getting a mid tower, after that not too sure.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Your PSU will be fine. Those rosewill's are actually quite good. Hardware secrets did a whole writeup on them and they surpassed their expectations and gave it their "Gold" award.

For case either the Antec 300 or the HAF 912 (as ugly as it is :p ) are both good options. The Coolermaster Elite 430 is another.

I'm reluctant to give Rosewill a shot, maybe they're OK now, but they did indeed have a very nasty reputation a couple years ago.

Yes they did, as hardwaresecrets even points out in the beginning of that article.

The green series seems a viable option as a budget friendly yet capable CPU. THG even used one in the recent SBM.
