Hi all I just finished my first build I am wondering how I did? This pc is for my living room and it will only be used for gaming and the occasional movie. The pc is going to stay hooked up to my Samsung flat screen tv (the pic quality for games is really good). I have a nice notebook for all my other computing needs. So really I guess the question is this a good gaming \ living room rig? I would also appreciate any suggestions. For now I am out of spending cash but in the future I intend to upgrade to the i5 2500 k (if you guys think that is necessary) Unfortunately for me computer parts here in Europe are quite a bit higher than they are in the States so its really hard to say how I did on the money part.

Thermaltake DuOrb CPU Cooler

Intel Core i3-2120

ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3

Corsair PSU 700 GS

Kingston HyperX 4GB DDR3 RAM / 1600 MHz CL9

Logitech MX 3100 Cordless Keyboard

Genius HS-G500V (PC headset)

MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

SHARKOON VAYA GAMER ATX PC GAMING MIDI TOWER

Total price including the wireless mouse keyboard and headset 844 Euros or 1 108.9 dollars or 695.29 British pounds

I think you did pretty good for a medium-to-high settings build as long as your tv resolution isn't something drastic (which isn't likely). Did you buy the mouse, headset, and keyboard with your rig or recycle them from an old build?

The mouse keyboard and headset I purchased for this build (i needed all wireless) all together they were around 140 euros. I live in Germany for now and unfortunately computer parts are more expensive here. As far as the tv goes its 1920x1080 at 60 hz and I have no problems with any games. Just wondering why do you say I may only be able to use med to high and not high and ultra?

Ok so I posted the websites for you sorry they are all in German. It really stinks the pc parts are 25 percent more expensive here. For example if you look at the prices and compare they are the same that sounds good but its not the euro is much stronger so I am paying 25 percent more.
1 Euro = 1.3139 U.S. dollars So if I was in America the pc would cost around 644 Euros and not 844 euros. I would have ordered everything from America but the Germans hit you with a minimum of 27 percent import tax.

What is wrong with the psu? The gpu box said I needed a minimum recommended 12 volt 40amp psu and all of the cheaper ones had like 12 vold at like 25 or 30 amps this one is 12 volt at 56 amp. The gs700 was the best name brand psu I could find for under 100.

Yeah it kills me when I see the prices in America. The problem is we have 20 percent sales tax on everything here. I am flying home to visit and that is when I am planning on upgrading. I could have got he 7950 for the same price as my card.

To be honest I hate having a budget if it was up to me I would be sporting top of the line everything. What do you thing about going with dual cards later I would also need to upgrade the cpu correct?
