Hi,

I've heard of a lot of noise being generated from the Pioneer DVD drives. Right now I am planning to buy one for my system, but wanted to make sure there are no potential problems. I am either getting the 16X IDE version (Tray Load) or the 10X SCSI version, 305S I believe (Slot Load).

Anyone own either of these drives with some comments?

Wayne

i have a Pioneer 16X and its SWEEEEET...the only 1 little minor thing is that the tray version has no digital out..only the slot version has it. The noise that the 16x pioneer drive generates is almost the same noise level as the toshiba 32X cd-rom.

i recommend getting one...
