Hey, I am building the following gaming pc and was just wondering if I could get an overview on if you guys believe it needs any changes. Also if anyone knows if the case needs extra fans or if it would be better upgrading the stock fans please advice on what ones I should get if any (also must be able to get in Australia).

Cooler Master Cosmos 2 Ultra
I7-3770K (When they come out)
ASUS Maximus IV Extreme Z
ASUS Xonar D2X
PWS Seasonic Platinum- 1000W
2X MSI GTX 680 2GB TWIN FROZR OC
Samsung S27A950
16GB G.Skill Ripjaws X 1600mhz
Noctua NH-D14
1x Samsung 830 256GB
2x WD CAVIAR GREEN 3.5" 1TB 7200/64MB/SATA3

64GB of RAM? He's using this for gaming, not running 100000 applications at the same time. 16 GB is plenty...

BTW, your board/gpu choice is kinda off, it's been confirmed the ROG z68 extreme iv will not support PCIE 3.0, but you have a pcie 3.0 CPU. I'd recommend you look into the Z77 boards from pccasegear.com, (aussie too).

That power supply is good, since gtx 680s will not require as much power than previous generations.

If you have money left to spend, you can get 2 ssds or 2 hdds and RAID them,
but 4400 for a gaming build I think is too far. Spend 2k now, and after a few years, spend another 2k. Unless you have won the lottery or a millionaire, that is how I would plan out 4k cash.

fans: silverstone air penetrators, Noctua...

lol actually that's already a very solid setup. how about samsung 830 or crucial m4 or intel 510(not sure about 520 haven't had my hands on that yet)

actually don't know why that's 4,400$ but you should have gotten 64gb g.skill ripjaws Z, I have 32gb and I never used more than 25gb, but since I'm getting a 8x8gb on my bday at july, and FREE, now it's making me crave for more (was also thinking of using a ramdisk or something)

OK. Well first of all upgrade the CPU, Mootherboard & Cooling to the 3930k, the Rampage IV Extreme & the Corsair H100 so you have the enthusiast platform and room to OC with the contained loop and if you want to you can upgrade to Ivy Bridge-E when they come out. To power all that you will need the Corsair AX 1200w. Personallt I prefer the Thermaltake lvl. 10 GT White for looks but thats just opinion. +1 to Tavo_Nova on the ram- 64gb as you can then make use of a ramdisk. You need to include Windows 7 Ultimate in there, aswell. Go for the M4 512gb- I have the 128gb model and it works really well as a boot drive aswell as storing a couple of games. Apart from that its a solid setup with upgradability for future purchases (not that you need to upgrade with a pc like that lol)

Thanks for your point about changing motherboards.

I am buying from a few places VTech, NetPlus, Pc Case Gear (though shipping cost are a crazy on some items), the graphics cards I am getting from PC solutions as they were one of the only places that did twin frozr version.

Cooler Master Cosmos 2 Ultra $399
I7-3770k (Been told will cost around) $325
ASUS Sabertooth Z77 $275
ASUS Xonar D2X $199
PWS Seasonic Platinum- 1000W $250
2X MSI GTX 680 2GB TWIN FROZR OC $1530
Samsung S27A950 $435
16GB G.Skill Ripjaws X 1600mhz $129
Noctua NH-D14 $86
1x Samsung 830 256GB (I will probably raid later in the future when I buy another one) $431
2x WD CAVIAR GREEN 3.5" 1TB 7200/64MB/SATA3 $198

If you can find cheaper prices for getting the items to Western Australia it would be much appreciated.
