Too many cables

I bought a new power supply and it came without about 20 cables to cover the bases for all components i guess. Im currently using 4 and their clogging up a lot of space, and restricting air flow. Can i remove the others?

  1. If your PSU is modular, yes. If it isn't, I would recommend trying to bunch them up and hiding them somewhere.
  2. Which case do you have?
  3. Upgrading to a Cooler Master Elite 430 from a Dell inspiron 545 case.

Got a non modular ZS Series 650W PSU

Ah, yes. I have built with a few CM Elite cases. Good solid cases, but not much in the way of cable management. What I usually end up doing is tying up as many cables as I can behind the drive cages. Another thing I've done is carefully coil them up and tie them down on the floor between the PSU and front fan.
