Sounds fine.

I might rather not have the 550TI, though.

A 6850 blows away a 550 TI and should still fit within the budget.

500 gb hard drive min! Honestly, its just worth it to spend 50 bucks more and get a faster, larger drive.

sapphire hd 6850.

last night i saw corsair cx600w for 49.99$ after rebate the same with the cx500 and with a few dollars off promo, if it still has it, go with 600w

As Tavo and Raiddinn said, go with HD6850 instead of 550ti..

should i just go with the CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB for ram?

Corsair is the worst of the major manufacturers, but they still do OK.

If it comes with the combo deal then you don't have much choice.

I think anyone that buys 1866 RAM that isn't using a Llano chip doesn't really know what they are doing.

CT2KIT51264BA1339 is good RAM.

actually if your friends only pure gaming. as in totally (well besidesa few web surfing or so)

a 1333mhz ram is great and all you need, but try and advance to the 1600mhz which seems like a standard now, as in the next year or so something might change and they are just a few bucks off 1333,

1866 or higher you don't normally need, unless you have a use for them but of course you can always get them as vendors won't break your leg if you do buy them.
