Hi all, I just read the Tom's Hardware article today called "High-End P67 Express: Five $200-250 Motherboards" (http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/asrock-p67-extreme6-asus-p8p67-deluxe-msi-p67a-gd80,2924-5.html). The article says the Asus P8P67 Delux and the ASRock Fatal1ty P67 Professional are the two best ones. It also said the Asus P8P67 Delux has better network performance because it doesn't use the nic on the PCIe bus. rather, it uses the Intel WG82579V PHY. Is it not good to have the nic on the PCIe? I read in another Tom's Hardware article that if you want faster network performance from a PC, the nic should be on the PCIe bus.
Can someone explain?

Intel > PCIE > PCI

Basically, a PCIE slot is faster then a PCI Slot, but the fastest tends to be integrated cards The only thing you gotta watch out for is making sure the Bus on your Motherboard can handle the speeds your using.

Now that Intel VS a good PCIE? you would be hard pressed to find much of a difference when actually using your pc.

i'm not talking about nic cards in the PCIe or PCI slots. I'm only talking about the integrated ones. Even if they are integrated, they are either using the PCIe or PCI bus aren't they? having said that, isn't it better to have your integrated nic using the PCIe bus rather than the PCI bus?
