best config....

what's the best way to hook up :
1-...a standard cd-rom drive..
2-...an ide HD
3-...a plex16/10...
which ones should be together on primary as master and slave.....or which should be on secondry....or whatever is right.....
i intend on burning a lot.......

If planning to burn HDD to disc more:
First IDE Channel: Master: HDD
Second IDE Channel: Master: CDRW; slave: CDROM

If planning to burn disc to disc directly more:
First IDE Channel: Master: HDD; slave: CDROM
Second IDE Channel: Master: CDRW

I'm guessing when you put your CD RW on master on the second IDE and your other things on your first IDE you can still burn HDD to CDRW, right? I have a DVD ROM, does that effect the configuration at all?

You should still be able to burn, it's just that if the source and destination devices are both on the same channel, there could be more problems. Consider a DVD ROM a CDROM.
