Hello everyone! I am actually eleven years old, but don't take that lightly, I know a lot about computers (a lot for an eleven year old at least) and will understand most of your terms and fixes (please I hope there will be...)...
Anyway, I have been having lag issues in MW2 with my Asus EAH5770 (hd radeon 5770) card, and I found on on THREE DIFFERENT PROGRAM that the card is running in PCIE 2.0 x1, not PCIE 2.0 x16, like it is supposed to, and was the slot my father and I have placed the gpu in.
I will soon check some BIOS options, but please suggest any BIOS options to check, since I don't screw with the BIOS without guidance.
This is the picture of all three programs (CPUZ, GPUZ, and CCC) all showing maximum speed as pcie 2.0 x16, but shows it is running at only x1:

My specs:
Asus m4a87td usb 3 (MotherBoard)
Graphics Card: Asus EAH5770 (hd radeon 5770)
CPU: Amd Phenom II x6 1055T Thuban

Is the PCIe slot you are using the long slot? Because x1 is usually found on the short PCIe slot. Check the motherboard, you should find PCIex16 silk-screened or printed near the slot designed for a discrete graphics card.

I am definitely using the x16 slot.
@unskol
I saw that already, but it really shouldn't be affecting me...
