Hi people.

Im having difficulty deciding whether to upgrading my 3700 to a X2 4800 or get another GTX and SLI them. Bear in mind that the 4800s are no longer in production and going very fast with e-Tailors lowering their prices. Should I grab a 4800 b4 there gone or go SLI?

Im a pure gamer and can only play at 1280x1024 due to monitor limitations.

PS: The 4800 and GTX are the same price.

At 1280x1024 SLI won't really help much. Single 7900GTX handles it fine.

I would only recommend the CPU upgrade if you're into heavy multitasking. If not, I don't see a worthy upgrade.

What he said .

At that resolution, you'll see little to no gain from SLI; I'd definately go for the CPU upgrade.

I bought a GTO and flashed it to GTX works like a charm and still clocks further! These GTO are going very, very fast and at an incredibly low price, that why am tempted to buy another one. Its the same situation with the 4800 a hell of a dilemma!! :?

If I go for 4800 I would of missed my last chance of grabbing a GTO/GTX for 190 delivered!!! Its same there other way round.

Do you think these products will still be available at the end of the month?? Coz I could buy one of them now and the other round about the 27th.

SLI is only really a solution for uber HD resolutions, and as you're way under that with your monitor limitations, if you have to spend your money today, you're better off with the CPU.

If you only have 1gb RAM, you'd be better off doubling that than doing anything else.
