I'm currently close to pulling the trigger on this build:

http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=19068312

With the possibility of getting an IB instead of the SB I've got in there. Right now the video card I've chosen is out of stock. Can you recommend a different card with the same/similar price/performance? Also, am I choosing components that are out of line with the rest of the build? I'm looking for a fast, but stable and relatively quiet machine.

Go ahead and and pull the trigger. IB is not going to be a substantial improvement over SB, from what I've seen in leaked benchmarks. But honestly, this is to be expected, a new generation of any computer component is really a substantial improvement. My working definition of substantial is greater than 10 percent, from what I've heard IB is not even going to be that.

Here is a card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125419

Same card, in stock, and overclocked by the factory more than the one you have.

This cooler will perform as well and is $5 cheaper: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6835233082
It also avoids supporting Crappermaster, a company found to be dishonest in competent technical reviews at HardwareSecrets.

Will the fact that the copper on the heatsink is not contiguous have an effect on the cooling? This was on of the reasons I choose the CM device.

Also, is it worth going to an Enthusiast or Builder PS instead of the Pro? I could put the extra money into a slightly higher end GPU.
