Is there a market for phones, specifically designed for use on a bus ? And
presumably other forms of public-transport, e.g. trains, boats, and planes.

The most important feature for phones targeted at the public transport
market is the inability to use annoying ringtones. Well... at least from
the point of view of the other commuters!

LOL actually increased volume would be nice or a headset that killed
background...busses are loud. And when there are 20-30 people all on
their cells, conversation can be a chore...:)

You can get active noise cancelling headphones but they're usually only
for listening to audio. I read an article somewhere saying that lip
recognition technology is being developed so you dont have to actually
make noise while talking...

I believe there is. On an interstate bus my cell battery gave up on me
(forgot to charge it..). Wouldnt be nice to borrow peoples' cells so was
incommunicado for an hour late at night..
