Hello all! I've been enjoying the forums here recently and using the pearls of wisdom here to better my understanding of how this all works. After a few weeks of research and reading the boards I've bought a bunch of components to upgrade both my and my husband's computer. Just looking for an opinion or two about how well these new systems will run once I build them. I have a few days before everything is delivered and am going crazy with anticipation! Some of what I bought is new, but I'm keeping a few pieces from the old builds from a couple years ago.

This is what I'll be using, the stuff with no link is from the old computers.

Motherboard and CPUs: (got it in a bundle deal)
MSI Z77A-G45 DDR3 CrossFire Motherboard with intel quad core i5 2500K cpu
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=70563&vpn=Z77A-G45%20%26%202500K&manufacture=Bundle%20Deals&promoid=1284

RAM:
Corsair Vengeance 8gb ddr3 1600
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=57078&vpn=CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9&manufacture=Corsair

Cases:
Zalman z11 plus mid tower atx case with front usb 3.0
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=69199&vpn=Z11%20Plus&manufacture=ZALMAN%20TECH&promoid=1230

PSU:
Corsair gx 750w - 2 years old but has been great so far

Video Cards:
HIS Radeon HD 6870 Iceq X
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=66643&vpn=H687QN1G2M&manufacture=HIS&promoid=1230

Keeping old hard drives - Seagate Barracuda 1TB, also keeping old DVD drives and writers.

I only had $1300 to work with for both computers and all that came to just around that. Would have loved to get a greater video card but was trying to balance budget with gaming greatness.

What do you think? Will that work for a budget gaming rig?

Thanks! I appreciate the opinions. =)

Didn't know that about the ram, thanks. Will make sure to install 64 bit when I format the HD.
