Hi guys

would appreciate your help.
Planning to build a rig by May ,ive never built one before but ive done some reading over the net and this is what ive come up with

budget - around 1500$

.Corsair Carbide Series 500R Black Steel structure with molded ABS plastic accent pieces ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO

ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA OR ASRock Z68 Extreme3 or Gen3

LG Black 12X Super Multi Blue with 3D Playback
(is it worth it to get a Blueray player as of now?i could save a lot on my build with dvd rw optical drive. What do u guys think? is it better to get it now or when games start to roll out in blue rays?

Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2CCA 2.5" 128GB SATA OR Seagate barracuda 1tb
(trying to keep within my budget)

CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) (Red)

CORSAIR Enthusiast Series 750W V2
(is this enough with my build? )

GeForce GTX 680

Intel Ivy Bridge i5-3570K 3.4GHz / i5 2600k

any other input would be much appreciated thanx

I don't recommend you SLI at all if you aren't going to use it right now. Why?
Because over time video cards get old so quickly that you can just sell your current one to buy a new and better one.
SLI is just an overkill if you aren't going for some 3+ monitors setup

awesome guys thank you so much for the input
i just hope nvdia will roll out the cards by the end of the month, the wait is killing me.

btw with that casing is there anyway i can make it 'cooler'
im not really into liquid cooling so just wanted a bit more input from u guys

by cooler i mean colder, but use answered that

if i were to add a sound card and a network card will my power consumption go up?
i read a few forums back, with my kind of setting they are using a +950w psu
i kinda think thats a bit too much

No. 680 GTX uses low power. And those 2 cards don't consume much power at all. 750W will be fine, unless you SLI. I'd just go for a 850W like Corsair AX850 if you don't want to upgrade you PSu next time you build. up to u
