Gaming Build - Buy now or wait for Ivybridge?

Hello all

I need a new gaming desktop as soon as possible (budget £650-£850) and am unsure whether I'll get more PC for my money by waiting until the Ivybridge processors come out. I think I'm going to be happy with an i5-2500k, unless you can advise that the new chips will be much better for gaming.

I do also really like the idea of getting a motherboard which will be futureproofed as much as possible, so am I better waiting another week or so to order?

TIA

I guess you haven't figured out that it's part of Intel's marketing plan to obsolete their own platforms as often as possible.
