how much of a performance increase in gaming would i receive if i upgraded my old phenom 9150e GHz to a i5 2500k at stock speeds?? games such as skyrim, battlefield3, dawn of war 2. thanks!

The difference would be pretty huge but why get a Core i5 2500K if you're going to run it at stock speeds?

That one depends on your GFX card. More noticeable will be level-loading and physics improvements.
