Can any one tell me how you uncompress a formated HD. thanks del

I really dont know........ It did have win95 on but due to a fatal crash i decided to format it and reinstall win95, omly to fine out that it was compressed. I have win98 on it now (they suport comprssed drives)but win 95 wont install on it. Any Help????

Just guessing...wouldn't using FDISK to remove all partitions, and then create new partitions do the trick?

No fdisk hasnt got rid of all the information. I was thinking about a low level format but dont really want to go that far. Has anyone got any ideas thanks del
