Best setup for eyefinity

What orientation is best? I will be playing BF3, DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Skyrim, and Runescape. Thanks.

I would say for 5760x1080 and BF3 you are going to need at least tri-fired 6970s.

I have two 6970s in crossfire and when hooked up to extra monitors I can barely manage BF3 on high.

As for those other games, I wouldn't know seeing as how I haven't tried it.

When I play on eyefinity, I will reduce some settings. By the time I decide to get 2 more monitors, I will have bought a second 7950.

You could probably manage BF3 in Ultra with AA off with two 7950s in Eyefinity. And the AA wouldn't be needed, anyway.

Sounds like a master plan.

Yeah, I expect to get 2 more monitors + an extra 7950 probably in the next year or so. Btw, I am only playing on high when I get my eyefinity setup.

What is the best size monitor I should get that will be good for eyefinity later on?

bigger is always better.

depends on the size of ur desk tho.

i welded up a custom 3 monitor mount with adjustable arms for about $60 worth of steel.

keeps the center one static (height adjustable) and the side ones can slide up down, in out and be pulled towards or away.

i have 2x 22" + 27" in the middle. As the 2 side screens are just for peripheral vision u dont notice the size diff and you have a nice big center monitor "all the better to shoot you with"

If viewing at normal monitor viewing distances, you want to keep your PPI (pixels per inch) above 90. The human eye can start to detect individual pixels at PPI < 96 ..... ok to miss by a little, after that screen starts to look grainy. I'd avoid the choices highlighted in bold text

I still have no idea on what monitor to get if I decide to go eyefinity later. I would like to avoid the above.
