Approximate Purchase Date: This weekend/next week

Budget Range: 1000 (you'll see I'm a little over..)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming

Parts Not Required: mouse, hard drive and windows (currently have 64 bit windows with a 1TB 7200 RpM drive)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: None really. So long as the shipping is free, or reasonable (less than 10 dollars would be ideal)

Country: Canada

Parts Preferences: Doesn't matter

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: In the future

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: I have a solid build here already (I THINK), but if you guys can cut down the cost a little then that would be super!

As you may notice, I have only got 4gb of ram. Will my ram bottle neck my performance? Even if I have a 2GB GPU?

Thanks for taking the time to read and consider my build =D

AFAIK, an i5-2500K won't work on a Z77 board. You need an Ivy Bridge CPU (new i5s), or just go with a Z68 board. It'll be much cheaper too.

OCZ is *ok*. I'd go for a more reliable brand like Seasonic, Corsair, XFX, or Antec (in that order). For one GPU, I don't think you need that much power, though it may be a good investment for CrossFire down the road.

Corsair's cases are a bit pricey. You could save by going with a Cooler Master, NZXT, or Antec (though Antec is a bit plain...).

4GB of RAM is fine for gaming - it's not going to bottleneck the GPU since the two don't interface (not sure what you're asking there).

All sandy bridge socket 1155 processors work on h/z77 boards. they just have innate bios flashed that allows comparability with gen1 ivy processors automatically.
