What is the purpose of this build? Take a look at the new build form, I really can't tell what your going for (gaming/school) and where your buying parts, but 700 is a decent budget

At first glance, thermal makes bad PSUs I wouldn't get a case with one.
You can get a larger 1080p brand new Acer monitor for that price.
I doubt you need 8 gigs of ram or 1600.
Intel is a better choice for future upgrades.
The gts 450 is just a really strange choice especially at that price. 6850 would be better.

if you have a local micro center i would pick up an i-3 2100 for a little more money intel cpu are a better buy. dont go cheap on the power supply most issues here on new builds are bad or dead ps. for the video card the 550 ti or the 7770 are newer cards and less money. the 7770 or the 7850 are very energy efficient. dvd drives on new egg start at 17.00 for bulk units. also look on new egg for combo deals or pc kits price.

Sorry I forgot to say what this build was for!

My daughter wants a computer that will give her lagg free gameplay , I was looking to create a gaming comp with a stable 50 fps average.

she plays ghost recon online , tribes online , COD MW3 , World of tanks , and C9 mmorpg.

I hope this help explain better my choices

ok I did not know about psu issue , got the memory becouse the MB supported up to 2000

I chose the gts 450 for the fps it showed on Tom's hardeware charts

Ill leave someone to suggest some Intel, if you wanna go AMD paying for a crossfire board with that CPU doesn't make much sense

Alright, I basically did a rebuild for you from the bottom up...

Part list permalink: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/79xr
Part price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/79xr/by_merchant/
Benchmarks: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/79xr/benchmarks/

CPU: Intel Core i3-2120 3.3GHz Dual-Core Processor ($117.99 @ SuperBiiz)
- This Intel processor eats up and spits out any current AMD offerings (much to my lament...)

Motherboard: Biostar TZ77B ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($97.55 @ Newegg)
- A good mobo with very few bells and whistles that you won't need.

Memory: G.Skill NS 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3-1333 Memory ($22.99 @ Newegg)
- Any of the better brands will do really, but most importantly I see no reason to go over 4Gb or get anything faster than 1333.

Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($74.99 @ Amazon)
- Good performing hard drive that you had previously picked out.

Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 1GB Video Card ($134.99 @ Amazon)
- This card gives very good bang for buck. It runs circles around the GTX 450 at basically the same price.

Case: Antec SONATA III 500 ATX Mid Tower Case w/500W Power Supply ($114.99 @ SuperBiiz)
- A nothing to fancy, but good quality case with an Antec 500 watt power supply, which will more than cover your power needs.

Monitor: Acer S220HQLAbd 21.5" Monitor ($119.00 @ B&H)
- Good LED 1920x1080 monitor

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (64-bit) ($99.99 @ Newegg)

Total: $782.49
(Prices include shipping and discounts when available.)

I guarantee you that this build will give your daughter much better FPS in every game. Hope this helps : )
