Hey guys, I need some help deciding which graphics card to get for my computer. I'm hoping to get one ordered and installed by the time Diablo 3 is released (Q2?) My budget range is from USD $100-200 before all the rebate crap. I mostly use my computer for schoolwork, web browsing, movies, and multiplayer games (WoW, SC3, and eventually D3) and I would like to have the settings on high-highest.

My current setup:

PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
MoBo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Monitor: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Vizio-22-E220VA/15992335
1920 x 1080 I believe

I prefer to get all my parts from newegg.com

As for brand preference, I don't have one.

The ones that I'm looking at right now are:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Overclocking: probably not, maybe in the future? I don't know very much about it and don't want to mess up my computer.

Any and all help and comments are appreciated!

6850/6870 won't serve you long and won't let you play all the games smoothly @ 1080P @ ultra settings, minimum you should look for is a HD 6950/GTX 560ti

Going with those cards will require you to have a quality branded 500W PSU, that PSU you chose is finie with either HD 6870/50, but no OCing option is available.

Any of that brands you chose for the GPUs are great, just pick the cheapest and i would buy the Sapphire one.

You could easily put a 1GHZ OC on the msi 6850 Cyclone and comfortably use a CX 430 to power OPs rig in question However go with a Fermi card and all bets are off but the 6870 would be alright to on a CX430.

1 GHz is insane OCing and hard for normal users. And i meant by OCing all the PC components CPU,RAM,GPU,.....

The OP's PC will draw about 317 with the HD 6870 in full load if any serious OCing is made the PC will draw about 444W, the Corsair is not efficient enough to pull that wattage from and if it's, it's a risk.

I run a crappy old Cooler Master 420watt PSU that hardly pumps out it rated specs my rig is OCed and allot more power hunger than the some of the most power efficient parts available today which are i5 2500K and Radeon 68xx cards that are going into this rig in question.

Read this article and calculate it yourself, again No serious OCing available.

I am telling yo from first hand Experience on the rig I am typing from that is OCed and runs stable 24/7 on more power hunger components that the i5 2500K and 68xx cards the Cooler Master CX 430 will be just fine cause it is better than my PSU and OPs rig is more power efficient than mine.

430W PSU won't be enough. Stock 6870 drains 276W under load if you ovrclock it it needs even more power.

Actually 6870 is a very very power efficient and friendly card you are wrong mate. http://www.hwcompare.com/11005/geforce-gtx-560-vs-radeo... 6870 draw a meager 150watts max with an OC add 20watts max

Like I said in the first post..I'm not planning on OCing it any time soon..Eventually I might and it sounds like I would need a better PSU just to be on the safe side. Will the 430W one work with all of the cards I mentioned above?

Yes no problem that CX430 watt would run any one card on the market no problems even GTX 580 which has a TDP of 244watts.

I think I'm going to go with the Sapphire 6870..I did notice however that it requires two power plugs but my PSU only has one. Would you recommend using one of the included adaptors and the pci-e, both of the adaptors, or downgrade to the 6850?
