I can't find my IP address

I can't connect to the internet on my laptop. When I tried to reconfig, it says I can't because media is disconnected. What does that mean?

you are not connected to your wireless router

are you using wifi ?? this could mean that your wifi is off. try looking for an orange light on your laptop and pressing it to turn it on, you may also need to hold the "FN" key and press "F2" or one of those F keys depending on your model. also check to make sure your connection is not disabled and you have the drivers installed
