Power surges every now and then

Please help, I have been experiencing power surges for the last months and this always shows up at my BIOS menu.

most of the time when it power surges only the 5V is affected now the 12V is also red - what does this mean? It happens regardless if during gaming or non-gaming. I have a 650w cougar PSU and have no electricity problems at home.

Now I can only get into the "starting windows" page and will stay there until god knows when. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

What PSU do you have (make and model), if you do not know this or cannot find where it says this (on the PSU itself) then take a picture of the chart that has multiple voltages and amps (the whole sticker would be preferable as that should have the make and model on it)

The voltages in red are signifying that they are too low btw, running your system like that can damage your components and could result in needing all new parts

Hi mindless728, thanks for your quick response. Here's the photo of my PSU:

Those voltages in red aren't always like that - usually it's just the 5V and sometimes everything's normal until ASUS detects another power surge again and shuts down the PC. Right now it won't boot windows cause that 5V is in red - maybe later when it goes back to normal then it'll boot windows. I absolutely have no idea what is causing this.

That is NOT a very good quality PSU.

It doesn't surprise me that the voltages aren't always stable.

I'd suggest getting a new PSU soon.

It is not 650 watt psu as advertised. It failed load, temperature, and efficiency tests.
