Im planning on buying a 6870 in the next few days, and was just wondering if there was a difference between cards. Like on newegg i could get this 6870 for 154.99: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161389

or i could get this one for 189.99: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150521... will either one give me better performance?

Ive always used and liked his cards but i know that xfx makes great cards to so just trying to decide which to go with.

Most all the cards are the same. AMD makes the chip and all the other manufacturers do the window dressing. What I look at is three things first warranty second customer service and third cooling is it going to be enough cooling.

But it is how much can you afford and what are you into like gaming or just what ever stuff. Also is your power supply at least a 500w or in some cases a very nice 400w might cover the card.

I think the difference in the two cards one has a single fan and the XFX has two a 30 dollar difference. So it looks like you are paying for the extra fan plus maybe a life time warranty. I do wish you good luck on your choice.

Thanks for the reply. I have an OCZ 550w 80+ certified psu... Should i wait for the 7700-7800 series? Does anyone know price points, performance, and release date yet? However my motherboard is a pcie 2.0 will that affect the cards performance?
