currently in my computer i have 2 hard drives my dvd drive and a crappy ls120. i want to get a cd burner and was thinking of the plextor 12x10x30 or if they ever bring one out 16x10x40 my question is because both the hard drives are oldish should i also get a small cheep scsi hard drive to burn from? if so would it need to be a very new one or could i get awy with some old lowly crap? i plan to go full scsi in the future. also can you suggest any good scsi cards?
my computer is a p3550
256 ram
geforce2 gts
8.4g maxtor
6g segate

thanks for your help.

Take a look at Adaptec or Tekram's line. I'm not sure at which end of the spectrum you want your card to be at, since you want to spend less money now, but want to go all-SCSI later.
