Hello All.

I haven't built a Intel rig in quite some time so i am just double checking and seeing if i am choosing the right parts for the job as in compatibility and the right choice for the money.

Asus P8Z77-V LX

Gskill DDR3 1066

Intel i5 2500k
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072

I put the Ram in there just cause i wanted to double check that i could go two not three dimms and for the price that would total around $310 before taxes. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's all fine except the RAM. Your motherboard doesn't support 1066MHz, it only supports:

DDR3 2400(O.C.)/2200(O.C.)/2133(O.C.)/2000(O.C.)/1866(O.C.)/1800(O.C.)/1600/1333

As stated by Newegg. Other than that it's good :)

i5 2500k actually supports 1600MHz. This is good if you're planning on overclocking. However it might default to 1333MHz in which case you might want to go into the BIOS and set it to 1600MHz.
