Download issues

So I just built a new computer yesterday and everything runs fine.

However, I have an issue with my computer where my downloads randomly stop. For instance, if i'm downloading a file, sometimes the download will just stop for no reason. When i'm downloading larger files, such as games, the download will work for a few minutes then it will quit out on me. This also happens to smaller files, but sometimes i'm able to download them before the download goes out on me.

When my downloads go out, I still have full internet connectivity so I really don't know what the issue is. I've disabled the power management for LAN in Windows 7, cleared temporary internet files and a couple of other things.

Try doing a long ping test. Open a command prompt and enter:

ping www.google.com /n 500

After it's finished have a look at the statistics and see what the packet loss is.
