Are Cold Cathodes Safe??

Hey guy I am pretty new to this, my other rig is using LED's which I am quite pleased with. Now fo my current computer I purchased and install a Cold Cathode with a dual inverter from Logisys. I really like the look and the even rich lighting it provides in my case. I have read and seen some pictures online of inverters catching fire and melting creating a potentional hazard. Now I know that in the world of electronics these things happen.

What are your experiences, is it safe in your opinon??

Thanks

Solution
I have had a CCFL inverter in my case for over 5 years and it has never caused any problems with the machine running for 12 hours a day minimum.

dual UV cold cathode of an unknown and long forgotten (by me) make has been running 24/7 for about 4 years with no problems and have personally never heard of anyone having such a problem

Go with it and don't worry I think :)
