ASUS Radeon 6850 on 500w power supply?

I was wondering if the ASUS Radeon 6850 would be able to run on a 500w powersupply. Here are the parts:

Any reason why you would limit yourself to a 6850 with that PSU? I had a similar question and learned that a 500W PSU could handle a much more power hungry card than a 6850.
  3. You're fine. A 6850 and an average system will probably only take not much more than 350W-400W.
  4. Have you bought the power supply yet? new egg is running a sale on an OCZ power supply.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341017&nm_mc=EMC-IGNEFL021712&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL021712-_-EMC-021712-Index-_-PowerSupplies-_-17341017-L0A

after all is said and done its 39.99 for 600watt modular 80 plus
  5. it should be ok it will run on your psu even it can run a hd 6870 which needs 2 pcie connector and more power then hd 6850.:)
  6. A 380w Antec Earth watts can run a 6850 as seen in the Tom's Hardware system builder marathons.
